JA Job Shadowing (工作影子??) (Form 4-7) is a partnership between the classroom and the workplace, dedicated to giving kids an up-close look at the world of work. Participating students are given the opportunity to "shadow" a workplace mentor as he or she goes through a normal day on the job. This gives young people a chance to see how the skills learned in school relate to the workplace. Participating students will have the opportunity to tour a job site, "shadow" an employee and participate in some workplace activities. At the completion of the program, students will have experienced what it really means to work at a job and be motivated in their schoolwork through a deeper understanding of the connection between academics and the workplace.

「工作影子??」是一?把學?與工作社會拉近、加?學?興趣與事業間之連繫的??。在「工作影子日」?天,學生有機會親身到一間機?,成為機?員工的「影子」,體?工作社會的真?情況,從而了解學校裡所學的知識及技能如何在工作中運用。在校內老?及義務工作導?的指導下,學生透過不同的活動分析?人的專長及興趣、建立履歷表、了解學歷及??與事業成功的關係、認識不同的?業選擇、並為自己的事業前途定下??。

We had a group of four students handled by two mentors, in a quiet meeting room, with projector for some topics. The partnership of two mentors seemed to work well, as the dialogue with the students was spontaneous and unofficial, filled with questions and comments from both side.
