families need and want; where they get their needs
and wants met; and what types of jobs family members
hold.

Community (Primary 3) is a series of five activities that lead students through a discovery of
a community. They learn about businesses that operate
within the community; how a government works to support
services for the well-being of its citizens; and how
citizens must take responsibility for the economic
well-being of their community.

City (Primary 4)
is a series of activities that identify businesses
that can be found in a typical city. Students learn
about the types of workers businesses require; how
workers apply skills to their jobs; and how their
jobs make a difference in the city.

| Our Nation

Our
Nation (Primary 5 & 6)
introduces students to the basics of starting businesses
in a free enterprise system. Through a series of five
activities, students discuss business organization,
career options, production techniques, marketing and
sales presentations. |
