Students showcased their entrepreneurship spirit at the FedEx Express/JA International Trade Challenge

The FedEx Express/JA International Trade Challenge Hong Kong Finals was held successfully on July 11 with ten teams of students presenting their market entry strategies for a beauty product in Indonesia. The finalist teams were evaluated by the judging panel based on the thoroughness of their business plans, market research and creativity. JA HK would like to thank the judges for their valuable time, including: Mr Anthony Leung, Managing Director, FedEx Express, Hong Kong and Macau; Mr Alan Cheung, Chairman & Managing Director, Grandion Industrial Limited and; Mr Donny Siu, Head of the Entrepreneurship Center, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
The following teams were named the winners of the competition:
Team Ace – Amy Tam & Audury Hui from Maryknoll Convent School (Secondary Section):
With the vision to create beauty for all, the team introduces “Kiya Lip Paper” – a portable, affordable and organic lip products targeting open-minded individuals.
Team Formula of Beauty – David Chau & Elvis Tsang from La Salle College:
The team aspires to enhance customers’ experience with lipstick by introducing an edition that can be customized into any colors. Their product comes with a case that can be recycled after use.
Team Refindah – Noelle Pang & Nydia Lee from St. Paul’s Convent School:
The team wants to introduce an ethical and sustainable whitening product with fast and measurable results – subsequently creating a product that is made with organic ingredients and halal certified.
The winning teams will represent Hong Kong at the Asia Pacific Finals to be held in Kuala Lumpur on August 18 to 22, during which they will be joined by students from nine other markets in the region. JA HK congratulates the winners and wishes them every success in the Asia Pacific Finals!
