Celebrating the Success!


Junior Achievement Hong Kong was officially incorporated on 22 June 2001. In the past decade, over 130,000 students from more than 400 schools have been inspired and prepared to succeed in a global economy, with the investment of over 180,000 volunteer hours by over 10,000 business volunteers from more than 500 organisations. JA has delivered more than 25 internationally-proven activity-based programs to Hong Kong.

Incorporation of Junior Achievement Hong Kong

2003

Launch of JA Company Programme, the JA flagship program around the world, in Hong Kong with the sponsorship of HSBC

2004

Hong Kong JA student, Monique Wong won the second place at JA Global Business Ethics Contest supported by ExxonMobil

First Hong Kong JA student, Snowy Kwan participated in JA international conference

Partnership with HSBC won the Caring Company Outstanding Partnership Project Award

2005

JA received from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust a HK$1 Million founding sponsorship for the launch of JA Job Shadowing in Hong Kong

JA recognized as Best Performer in Resource Mobilization of Asia Pacific NGO award by Resource Alliance and Citigroup

JA selected as the only NGO in Asia Pacific for Long Standing Partner Award presented by Goldman Sachs CommunityTeamwork

2006

Partnership with ExxonMobil won the Caring Company Outstanding Partnership Project Award

Launch of JA New Leaders Programme with the founding sponsorship of Hang Seng Bank

2007

JA won the MetLife Foundation Entrepreneurial Award for the development of the JA New Leaders Programme

Hong Kong hosted the first-ever Asia Pacific International Trade Challenge sponsored by FedEx Express

Hong Kong JA student team from Po Leung Kuk 1983 Board of Directors' College won the first place at Asia Pacific International Trade Challenge

2008

Hong Kong JA student team from Christian Alliance S C Chan Memorial College won the fourth place at JA Global Business Challenge

2009

JA won the second place for Prudential Chairman's Award

Hong Kong's JA More than Money program localisations recognised as best practice among international JA offices
